The Longest Day is tomorrow, and Midsummer’s Day is only about a week away! What’s the collective doing for the solstice?

The same thing I’m doing for Fathers Day. I may also treat myself to doing some work.
um. Going to work? It’ll probably rain.
Worshiping the Earth Mother, naked and drunk.
Getting the kids to empty their desks, take home their work books, artwork and start to clean out my classroom. It’s the last week of school for my minions.
@Blondesjon I think he meant are you doing something different for the solstice.
The place where we camp directly faces that point. I’d like to go to the lake tomorrow, but probably won’t.
Watching a movie with my dad, & spending as much time in the sun as possible.
Taking the boat out and watch the sun set…nothing purdier than a sunset on the water!
Well, we were going to have my sister-in-law and her husband over for a bonfire, s’mores, and fireworks. However, now I think I might cancel on them and do what @Blondesjon is doing.
I’m also taking my daughter to the pediatrician to get a tetanus shot tomorrow because she managed to get bitten by a shrew today. At least shrews aren’t rabies carriers.
@MissAusten . . . shrew bite would be an awesome name for a band
@Blondesjon Yes, it’s much more unique than Snake Bite, which is what happened to my son a few years ago. The pediatrician always giggles when she talks to me. :(
Expecting rain so probably nothing. But my brother will be lighting up the ol’ bar-b-que, something he does every solstice…rain or shine, hot or cold no matter what. I laugh at him during the Winter solstice when the weather can be as much as 30 below. (I know, I’m mean. LOL!)
We are on the road and traveling. Tonight, we ate BBQ for dinner, and then went for a swim. Tomorrow, we are leaving the highway to cruise the Skyline Drive along the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.
Spraying the potato field (organic) to prevent blight in this heat and humidity. I’ll raise a glass to Gaiea and Aphrodite at sundown.
more house and yard work as achy body permits…..get ready for drum corps Tuesday.
water flowers, houseplants tomatoes, clip doggie, get both sets glasses fixed, Lowe’s
it can be a long list…..right??
The place to be if you are in the UK is Stonehenge. Apparently over 20,000 people were there for sunrise this morning.

I will be sitting out in the garden, waiting for dusk and the bats to arrive in and around my garden. Such a wonderful sight.
