Gary, aka wtf and Sherry were engaged and then married via Fluthercast one year ago yesterday – a little bird told me. We don’t usually celebrate birthdays or anniversaries here but since this was such a Fluthery one; I would like to toast this great couple! Who wants to join me?

I read “fluther Hall-of-Famers” as “fluther Hall-of-Farmers” at first. Oops.
How did I miss this? It is 4:30am, so technically I am late, but there is always one excrescent guest who stumbles around the ballroom after everyone else has gone home. Mazel Tov, you two!
Many thanks to all of you with a special hug to @janbb for this post. It’s hard to believe it has been a year since the wedding, but it has indeed been a very remarkable year. And sharing the proposal and wedding with all of you, our fluther friends, with all your kind words and well wishes made this entire period even that much more special. We can never thank you enough for your kindness and your friendship.
And AC is correct that the honeymoon continues. Sherry has thankfully been unemployed for six wonderful months now (with an open job offer awaiting her) and she continues to be my strength and inspiration each day as she has been every day for the last six and a half years since we became a couple. And my love grows even deeper as she continues to amaze me, particularly now as my journey with ALS has become a very trying struggle to which I am rapidly losing ground. I beat the odds for a long time thanks in no small part to all of you and your encouragement but in particular to the remarkable woman, the love of my life, who said “yes” in your witness to that proposal I made here, in these very waters, just over a year ago. I am one very lucky guy to have Sherry by my side and to have known and shared so much joy with all of you. I lurve you all very much. Peace.
