Okay we all know that the “bad guys” invariably meet their doom, usually towards the end of any story.Who in your opinion either deserves to live or just for their sheer charisma & dynamism you thought earned the right to life?

Jaws, dear ole Hannibal Lecter and I cannot ommit the sweetest of all: Freddie Krueger!
The “Joker” on Batman The Dark Knight, he was so cool and suave.
Grace Poole – the much-maligned “madwoman in the attic” in Jane Eyre. (Read Wide Sargossa Sea by Jean Rhys for a different take on her.)
@ucme now you know what I’m going to say now don’t you? Hans Gruber of course <sighs> :-)
@bunnygrl But of course, such a pathetic yet endearing look on his face when he fell to his demise. “Shoot the glass” Still loving it ;¬}
@ucme poor baby! he wasn’t really evil you know…. just misunderstood. Yes. Misunderstood, thats what he was. Lol
<hugs> xx
ps: and if I stop the dvd before he dies… well that means it doesn’t happen, right? no? LOL being delusional is part of my charm :-)
@bunnygrl Hit pause & then slow rewind & fast forward, it’ll look as if he’s beckoning you, his saviour for a warm embrace & yes who knows, maybe a spot of tonsil hockey ;¬}
@ucme <squeeeeeeeeeeelssss> you know I’m going to have to go try that now don’t you? If my remote control ends up with teethmarks it’ll be all your fault! lol lol lol Can’t believe I’ve never tried that <grins> xx
Agree with @Dr_Dredd . Khan would have made a good recurring bad guy.
I’m actually rooting for about all of the horror film baddies, the victims and heroes are usually very lame.
Bruce Willis from The Jackyl
@ipso Gunny Hartman a villian? Really? Really? Earth Mutha was more a villian.
@Hypocrisy_Central – I know! That’s why this is such a great question – because it’s hard to qualify antagonist vs. villain.
Seems to me Hartman was definitely the villain to Pyle, for the entire first half of the movie – until he was superseded by Pyle himself.
I was thinking someone was going to call me out on HAL 9000; as I think technically he survives.
I’m reminded of the little Strunk and White book: “If you don’t know how to pronounce something, say it loud.” “Why compound ignorance with inaudibility? Why run and hide?”
So if I’m unsure of an item, I’ll put it first in the list!
