I agree, fully. My SIL and I have gotten into some big arguments over this. I have two cousins that are paralyzed from the waist down that may someday benefit from stem cell research, and I back it 100%.

It is amazing and offers such hope to so many people.

I do and I am excited to see what they are able to do next.

Fifty years from now they will look back at how medicine is practiced today marvel at how crude we were. It will be like us looking at the time before penicillin.

I too would proudly suck the marrow of a newborn to enhance myself. At least one person is laughing at this and it is me. But I’m actually pretty surprised, do the eyes have stem-cells other organs don’t or does this mean we can completely regenerate tissue now?

I look back at the people in the days before penicillin with nothing but respect. Also, inventing that stuff? How does science today even compare? We are all wimps and our deaths would probably be quick and painless if we made a mistake. Back in those days you got killed by radiation poisoning for your troubles.

I am inclined to believe you are right.
@Zyx has a point too. People suffered more before we had modern Science.
Any intelligent person realizes that Scientific research is important to human Survival and prosperity.
Human beings are by nature explorers.We crave knowledge. We explored the forest,the oceans and want to explore the Universe. We also explore ways to better the quality and duration of human life.
