God, where do I begin!! It depends on my mood. Right now, it’d be “Blackbird”.
It’s funny…whenever I’m out and about and am thinking about my daughter, I immediately hear a Beatles or Lennon song being broadcast.
Eleanor Rigby.
I’ve never known why, but that song has always really spoken to me.
If you are going to force me to pick just one I will have to say Long and Winding Road. Sorry, I’m genetically incapably of not posting the youtube link. The song makes me miss everyone I’ve ever loved and love everyone I’ve ever missed.
Yellow Submarine and Fool on the Hill.
golden slumbers and dear prudence
adding another vote for Eleanor Rigby.
Waaaay too many to choose from, but if I must…
Paperback Writer
@ucme Help! is my favourite too.
I love many Beatles songs. My husband and I are expecting our first child in about a month and a half. He has been spending a lot of time lately practicing Beatles songs on his guitar to sing to the baby (I think it’s the sweetest thing).
Overall, I would say “She’s Leaving Home”, “And Your Bird Can Sing”, “When I’m 64”, and “Ticket to Ride”.
“I’m Looking Through You” – Rubber Soul (probably my favorite album of The Beatles).
“Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” into “With a Little Help From My Friends” – Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (probably my second favorite album of The Beatles).
“In My Life” from Rubber Soul
It’s a tie between A Day in the Life and the Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End medley.
Hey Jude is always the top of my list
A day in the life, and Maxwells silver hammer, and fixing a hole, and and and help, I need somebody im on overload. To many choices ahhhhhhhhh! ;{)
My favourite John-written song is “Across The Universe”
My favourite Paul-written song is “Fixing A Hole”
My favourite George-written song is “Here Comes the Sun”
My favourite Ringo-written song is “Don’t Pass Me By” (but I prefer him singing “With A Little Help From My Friends”)
My favourite composition is probably the 2nd half of Abbey Road.
Too many answers. Depends on the day of week, time of day, mood,or whatever comes on; they are all unbelieveable and timeless.
