What are your plans for this 4th of July?
I’ll probably be going to my cousins’ to blow shit up, light ourselves on fire, jump out of trees with a sword, & shoot at each other.
Oh, & there’ll be food.

The minor-league baseball stadium is hosting a soccer game that night, with fireworks after the game. We’re probably going to go to that. Afterward, my husband’s band is scheduled to play a show at a local club. I hate this club. I’m doing everything in my power to encourage him to cancel. ^_^
The owners are idiots, the floor hasn’t been cleaned in 20 years (it is a blue carpet. It feels like black rubber, and it’s sticky). They have a history of refusing to pay the bands. The owner’s husband attacked my husband in a drunken rage and basically forced Jason to throw him on his head. They recently rearranged the stage to the other side of the room and put the drummer in an alcove, so no band can hang up their backdrops. The beer is way too expensive. The bathrooms are filthy.
Shall I continue?
After I go back home from Laguna Beach tomorrow (which is my best friend’s birthday), I have a few free days and then I’m going up to my vacation home at Tahoe with my boyfriend and several friends. We’re planning on doing the same thing we did last year—inner tubing on the Truckee River and then seeing the fireworks at Donner Lake from a boat. :)
Gonna be fun :D
I’m going to grill some food and have some friends over. I don’t know if we’ll get to see fireworks or not. I’m kind of hoping we will, but I don’t feel like driving far to see them (and I live on a military post that has a ban on fireworks, so there won’t be any here).
Going to the Outer Banks to breath in some sea air.
My sister’s mansion for family gathering. They have fab fireworks view, but I will come home to ole dog by then. Cant stand family drama…..or any drama for that matter…..maybe make them a pie.
Oh, I don’t know. I hope I can get to the NJ side of the Hudson to watch the fireworks. The NYC side will be much too crowded.
Hoping the neighbors don’t shoot off bottle rockets again and try to burn down the street.
I expect my husband will be working.
I will be calming the dog, who does not like fireworks.
We do a big event for about 80 people. Food, fireworks, and firearms. What’s not to like?
Neighbors are included.
To drink heavily then produce my own “fireworks”.
I’m going to watch the first stage of the Tour de France, which will start in my home country this year.
Sit around the house. Do nothing. By myself.
@mrentropy You should come to my place. We help entropy head the natural way.
There are even fun loving singles here.
I’m going to have a few drinks, and then I’m going to bed.
Barbecuing, playing baseball, shooting fireworks, getting shit faced and then recovering.
I’ll probably do the same thing I do every 4th of July the last few years. Sit in the bathroom with the dog, the fan on and the shower running so he won’t hear the fireworks and shake himself to death in fear. This year I have a little personal DVD viewer, so I can turn the volume up loud on whatever movie I watch, which is big improvement over reading a novel, with my CD player turned up loud.
I plan to celebrate Canada Day!
BBQ at my parents. Extended family from Texas are visiting, so it’ll be a big family party. And also preparing for my sons 3rd birthday, which is the 5th of July.
Watch the Boston fireworks from the Cambridge side of the river and listen to Toby Keith play with the Boston Pops!
