Do you have a great "food-combination" you'd like to share?

Asked by john65pennington (29273points) June 28th, 2010

The other night, the fridge was low on food and i had the midnight hungries. i wanted something cold, but sweet and tart at the same time. i had just thawed out some homegrown strawberries and only had half of a carton of cottage cheese. also, half a package of shredded sharp cheddar cheese. i piled the cottage cheese into a bowl. piled on the strawberries next and topped it all off with the sharp cheddar cheese. to my surprise, this food combination was extremely good and filled my hunger. i know there are other strange food combinations out there that you have tried and love. how about sharing them?

Macaroni and cheese and apple sauce together is wonderful. I think it’s the cheesy and sweet combination. Whenever I tell that to people, they get disgusted, but once they try it, they love it. I can’t eat mac and cheese without apple sauce anymore. OM NOM NOM.

Peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. Dill pickles, sliced, placed on peanut butter – bread doesn’t matter, but I prefer multi-grain.

French Toast and melted (real) swiss cheese.

Tomato soup with popcorn floating in it. Small portions at a time so the popcorn doesn’t get soggy.
