I thought this was just a stereotype but I see more vietnamese people at casinos and in the world series of poker, more than anyone else. Does this have to do with Asians and math?

my dad served in Vietnam and he used to tell me about a religious practice that evolved into gambling. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of said practice or if dad was just drunk when he told me but if it is apart of the general religious philosohy that means that family traditions would include some sort of betting.
Luck and chasing luck are prevalent values in many Asian cultures.
Social Conditioning.
Its the same reason Irish drink and fight, or Italians think they’re “stallions”, etc. I could honestly give you hundreds of examples of people emulating the social norm they’ve been conditioned to believe, but you get the idea.
Asians in general tend to be big gamblers, not just the Vietnamese
