Which live-action Krofft Superstar show do you believe most deserves a serious big screen treatment?

Asked by SmashTheState (14252points) July 1st, 2010

So far, two Sid & Marty Krofft shows have been remade for the big screen: The Brady Bunch (which wasn’t really about their version of the Bradys anyway), and Land of the Lost. Both were played for self-conscious ironic camp. If any of the Krofft shows were to be given a serious, big-budget treatment for the silver screen, which would you prefer to see?

A list of Krofft shows, for those of you who didn’t grow up in the 70s:

H.R. Pufnstuf (1969)
The Bugaloos (1970)
Lidsville (1971)
Sigmund and the Sea Monsters (1973)
Land of the Lost (1974)
Far Out Space Nuts (1975)
The Lost Saucer (1975)
Donny & Marie (1976)
Dr. Shrinker (1976)
Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (1976)
Kaptain Kool and the Kongs (1976)
Wonderbug (1976)
The Brady Bunch Hour (1977)
Magic Mongo (1977)
Bigfoot and Wildboy (1977)

[Personally, I’d love to see a serious, CGI-laden version of Dr. Shrinker, which could be quite spectacular.]

None of them. Especially Lidsville.

@jazmina88- They’ve already made a theatrical version of H.R. Pufenstuf.

Land of the Lost is the only one I recognize. I thought it wasn’t that bad since I didn’t really take it all that seriously.

Electric Woman and Dyna girl has the best chance of being an interesting movie, IMO.
However, I always loved Land of The Lost and Sigmund the Sea Monster.
