So England reach the World Cup final after all, who saw that one coming out of left field then?

Yeah kind of clutching at straws I know. Nevertheless a fantastic accolade worthy of mention. English referee Howard Webb has just been given the honour of officiating in this prestigious fixture, ahh see not a trick question. Along with his two assitants he has took charge of three games up to now earning flawless appraisal from the powers that be, FIFA (spits on floor) So yeah, just thought i’d give the guy a congratulatory shout out, well deserved. Hooray for England!!!

Yay! I hope they perform better than a certain bunch of Uraguayans.
That’s a pretty limp and soggy straw that you’re clutching at mate.
Let it go.
Why don’t we just enjoy the spectacle.
It’s the game that counts.
“The Beautiful Game”.
@downtide Oh i’m sure they will, couldn’t possibly do worse than them soppy gets. @lloydbird Okaaaayyy, i’ll enjoy the final probably as much as I will the third/fourth place play off, love football see regardless of who the wanker….sorry man in the middle is. Just think the guy done good that’s all. “Let it go”? How very dare you!! Roll on the football season, impatient already.
This is the same Howard Webb that Poland knows and loves, right?
Seriously, though, he’s a great ref. Champions League final and World Cup final in the same season, that’s quite an accomplishment.
@cfrydj Yeah he was sent home early from the last Euro’s. Guess he went back to basics, certainly improved since then. Unlike a certain Graham Poll remember? Him giving the Croatian player three yellow cards in one game & yet he miraculously stayed on the pitch, for a while at least.Sheesh!!!
I hope he does a good job (or gives my team the advantage) ;-)
No I’d rather win with a good game, so he better be good :)
@Vincentt He’s yet to award a penalty or send anyone off, so he’s due one or the other. As for the Dutch, I can only see one winner & they won’t be wearing orange.
and a shout goes out to Rotherham! His home town is now famous for something other than unemployment, crime and ferrets.
@Mat74UK Not forgetting the Chuckle Brothers of course. To you, to me…...what the fuck am I on!!
@ucme- They moved out about 15 years ago and they now live down the road from me! When the first moved into the village they stopped for directions…. I had to bite my tongue!
@Mat74UK Wow hollywood.Starstruck is not the word!
@ucme – nope you’re right it’s not!
