In Russian, what is an endearing version of the name "Janna"?

Asked by julia999 (343points) July 9th, 2010

Hello, I am writing a short story and one of my characters is a little Russian girl called Janna.

I was wondering if there are any alterations to this name that one would say in an endearing manner?

eg. Jill can be Jilly, Kate can be Katie, Tom can be Tom-o, Ellie can be Elz

eg. also, in a Chekhov story I read, “Lydia” was sometimes just written as “Lida”

Thanks in advance :)
