Can a Cheap Glass Animal Be Made or Are They All Hand-Blown?

Asked by Aster (20028points) July 12th, 2010

I think those tiny glass animals you see in a mall run about ten bucks. Right? What if the piece weighs five pounds; will that be Much more expensive than the small ones and are they hand-blown or just cheap glass? I assume the tiny ones are crystal. Is that right?

All you need to do is create a mold. Anything can be made from a mold.

@judochop thanks. So if it has a SEAM it’s from a mold and is cheap; if it has NO seam it’s hand-blown. I suspected that. I had some glass canisters with lids that had no seams. And something about having bubbles inside means their hand-blown I think.

I MEAN THEY’RE HAND-BLOWN, NOT THEIR. GRRR

Not always. Sometimes the seams are filed down.

The seams can be made invisible??
