In Mythbuster why did the censor out the barcode on the lighter?

Probably because if they got bad results, the people at Mythbusters couldn’t get in trouble with the good people at BIC lighters for saying they blow up in your car or in the dyer etc. They never said it was a BIC lighter and the UPC would a way to identify it was a BIC. Other than the fact that it’s a BIC lighter and anyone could probably point that out.
