What is this show called?

I watched a tv sitcom back in the early 90s. It was around when Sabrina The teenage witch series 1 was on tv. This show I’m looking for was an American comedy series with black actors in it and it had a young man who dies one day in the very first episode and turns into an angel, who is then sent up to heaven to report to God about peoples problems on earth. He is then sent back down to earth by God to fix those peoples problems. It was on Australian tv on channel 7. He was really funny and sometimes he was annoying at times.
