Have you ever been reluctant to let go of something you've newly adapted?

Say you buy a new toothpaste that you are excited about using. The first use it leaves your mouth clean, and has a great taste, but by the afternoon your mouth feels like you ate a pan of brownies. The next time you brush you reach for that toothpaste, and you think wow this is not what I expected.

Do you brush again…Do you make a trip to the store and buy your old toothpaste?

I can think of a lot of situations where this happens with products. The Iphone 4 is facing such an issue for some people. I like mine just fine though.

Do you have any examples?

My work life is like this – everything always changes and the changes come down from on high in the organization and leave me pissed off – just when I re-learn the ‘new’ of data entry or what have you, I have to adapt yet again to some other pointless change.

I’ve had a couple of times that I really want to go somewhere (like this one time I wanted to go to play that my friend was in), and I have to convince the rest of the family to go, then everybody’s stressed about getting there in time and I feel like I’m dragging them along. It kind of feels like it’s turned out like your example. But then again, the one thing that I feel like I was part of the group and had the best day of life felt like that in the beginning.
