How does one fold up a Cordoba music stand so that it fits neatly?

I got a beautiful one-piece Cordoba music stand from my flute student for Christmas. I can get it folded up enough to fit back into the travel bag, but I can’t get it folded snug like it was when I got it. The music-holding-part sticks out a little from the stand part, and I’m a little concerned about it getting bent up that way. Any suggestions? I’m thinking there must be a simple trick I’m missing. I’ve tried to find directions online with no success.
