Do any of the iPhone 4 cases offered free by Apple cover the screen to protect it?

Asked by ninechars (67points) July 23rd, 2010

So apple is offering several options for free iPhone 4 cases, but I can’t tell which if any cover the screen to protect it from scratching. Does anyone know?

I like to use invisibleShield to protect my iPhone. It’s not part of the case though.

The case shown in the press conference appears to be a bumper that only covers the edge like a donut leaving the back and front exposed. Only better-quality cases have the front screen protection built in and with hundreds of thousands being handed out the chance of it being anything other than the most basic bumper model is very slim.

It would really be nice though.

There are several models on offer:

Standard Apple bumper
Incase Snap Case
Belkin Shield Micra
Griffin Motif
Griffin Reveal Etch
Speck Fitted Case
Speck Pixelskin HD

Those are the free models. My question is whether any of those cover the screen. It’s hard to tell from product descriptions online.

Is in on the site already?
Awesome! Off to look!

That is a lot more choices than I assumed we would have- what a very nice surprise.

You have to download the app, I think

This is awesome! I apologize for not seeing this earlier and am very happy you pointed it out.
I will research them after work. Hopefully one does have this option.
