Do you think there is more good people then bad people in this world?

The new only reports the bad stuff. I honestly think there are more good people. Sadly, if there was a news program that reported only the good things going on, it wouldn’t get the ratings that the news gets right now.

Absolutely! I don’t know how old you are, but I firmly believe the older you get the more aware you become of how wonderful and generous people can be. I have been lucky enough to receive love and help from friends, family, and even strangers. I have witnessed acts of kindness way beyond any expectation. I believe in Pay it Forward The more you do for othere, the more you will begin to witness the goodness in the world.

There are definitely more good people than bad people.

Funny thing about people is that they are often good and bad. Do I think there are more people with positve intentions…yes. Just think about any public place you may go to….if there were more people with bad intentions, then social order just would not work.

I know what you are saying about the news….drives me nuts that only the negative stuff is focused on—that’s why I have decided to just open my eyes and see for myself in my everyday life.

I like to believe there is. Gives me hope.

We all have the capacity to behave in supremely negative or positive ways, if we’d only acknowledge it. Even people who commit acts of evil are trying to get their needs met, just as we are, whether we want to recognize that or not, so I can’t put people under “Good” or “Bad”. There’s no such thing. There’s “Behaviour that hurts self and others” and “Behaviour that helps self and others”.

I think some is based on our own expectations. Expect the best from others and more often than not, you’ll get it. Same with expecting the bad. That goes for most people. There are some that are lousy humans regardless.

I like to think that people are basically good and honest. It can be discouraging to run into a few of the other kind

I think there are a lot more good people than bad people. You just never get to hear about the good ones.

I know what you’re asking, but for me, it’s too hard to divide people that way. We all know basically good people who have done bad things, and vice versa. Also, it depends on the definition of good and bad. If by bad you mean evil, then I think there are more people being good or try trying to be good.

@aprilsimnel I agree with you entirely. Acting good or bad are choices and these have consequences for the actor and those affected by what they do. Except for people who are so damaged, I hold that we all have the option to choose kind helpful acts or destructive, harmful ones.
It comes down to being responsible for what each person does.

Unfortunately even “good” people can do very bad things on the spur of the moment. I do not believe in the existence of “good” or “bad” people. I believe in good or bad actions however.

Try to get it in perspective. The news leads with the ‘bad’ people story, but if it is followed by the story of the 100 people who showed up for the trash pick up day, which one are you going to remember – the 100 or the one?

There are plenty of good people left on the planet, but the bad people are catching up with the good. i say this because of drug addiction and people attempting to receive something for nothing. people who cheat on their taxes and people that cheat on their spouses. its not anything like it use to be. lock your doors and widows at night. you never know what might come crawling through to take what belongs to you.

@john65pennington The bad have always seemed to outnumber the good. As a Police Officer you are so very exposed to almost nothing but the bad element so it seems overwhelming…..there are still more good people in the world than bad…..

well idk its a huge mystery but it just seems like there are more bad people in the world because they come on the news cause usually its all about crime.but just think about everyone around you. are they kind or rude? in my point of view i think their are more good people in the world.
