Have you noticed something wrong with Fluther search?
I type in the exact phrase and nothing comes up. What am I doing wrong? I know it’s exact because it’s a cut and paste from a previous discussion.
I’m debating on another forum currently and really don’t feel like typing it all out with links again when I should be able to just search for it here.
Should be able to find it with any part of these phrases…
“Information may be understood as the value attached or instantiated to a characteristic or variable returned by a function or produced by a process.”
or
“Information may be defined as the characteristics of the output of a process, these being informative about the process and the input.”
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you already made a post on a Fluther thread and you want to copy what you wrote and paste it elsewhere, you can look in your answered questions as well which you can access from your profile. Or is this something someone else posted on a thread?
It’s too late for me to edit, but I think I found your quip. I sent you a PM.
@Allie that can be quite annoying going through all your previous answers though.
I dont think the fluther search engine ever really worked…..
I have found the fluther search function to be practically useless.
Thanks @Allie, how did you find that. There’s actually a few of them, and I’d like to compare notes.
@uberbatman Yes, quite annoying. I wish I could limit the search to a particular user too, either myself, or someone else.
@YARNLADY It used to work quite well, for me at least. I noticed a big drop in usability after the last big fluther update.
And it’s especially odd that it doesn’t work efficiently, yet somehow thinks to know what I’m interested in for new questions.
@RealEyesRealizeRealLies I copied a part of the quote and went through your answers pages CTRL+F’ing it. Found it somewhere between page 30 and 40. It took about 2 minutes.
@Allie its still annoying to have to do that at all.
It helps to use the actual Google and not the search here. It is the third hit here
Make sure you use Site:fluther.com in your query.
Thanks y’all. I hope I never have to search for this post.
I have entered “Pets and second hand smoking” the actual question was “Pets and passive smoking”. I don’t know if it should have come up, but it didn’t.
