Actually.., today: Santa Barbara.

Last week: Big Sur.

Weekend before that: San Diego.

All pleasure.

In what feels like the coldest summer in California history.

Last weekend I went to the Wisconsin Dells with the kids…had a freakin blast!

Two weekends ago, for pleasure, went with a bunch of friends to an amazing adventure-park kind of thing and had a blast.

Tomorrow I’m going to camp 4 hours away. I’m going to have a blast.

I’m out of town right now – we’re visiting in-laws in Illinois for a couple of days.

Last weekend I went hiking. Tomorrow I’m going on a bike ride that should take me about 30 miles away. Does that count? If not, I went to visit the in-laws on the east coast three weeks ago. I feel that was equal measures ‘business’ and ‘pleasure.’

I’m currently out of town, for both business and pleasure.

Six weeks ago I went across the country for a family wedding in New York.

My husband and I used to go to a place in the mountains once per season, usually for an average of 5 days at a time, but we can’t afford to go so often any more. We consider 40 miles “out of town,” especially when it feels like a whole different world.
