Why won't my hard drives mount using USB?

Asked by Mtl_zack (6781points) August 4th, 2010

I have two hard drives. One is a Verbatim 320 GB Surefire and the other is a 250 GB iomega eGo. They both support firewire, but they also have usb ports. My mac running Snow Leopard only has one firewire port, but it has two usb ports as well. I try to mount both hard drives at once, but they just won’t cooperate when using usb. Does anyone have a fix?

What EXACTLY is your problem? Personal experience causes me to think you might want to check the USB drivers. I have two 1TB hard drives hooked up to the back of my computer and I remember formatting my internal hard drive when I started using them.
