I am looking to buy an iPod touch and want to know if its possible to download the videos I like on Vimeo and YouTube to watch later on my IPod touch when I am on the train? So downloading the actual file to the iPod touch I guess.

You can. There should be a little drop down for youtube. Vimeo has the same if you are logged in.
edit: And new iPod touches should be out in about a month. I would hold off buying one if you can wait.

And pay $25 for the privilege?
I don’t think so.
Do you own stock in them or something? You keep shilling for them. This isn’t the first time you’ve done that on a Q only tangentially related.
What’s up with that?
You can try to use handbrake which is free,i am not shilling for ads.please dont misunderstand, okay?

I’m using CosmoPod which pulls most Flash-based videos to iTunes as m4v files.
