Well, if I were a cannibal, I’d make sure to only pick whole people when I go grocery shopping.

Well I am with Bob. Very funny.

After the first cannibal takes a bite, that would sure spoil it for everybody else. I don’t see how that could be true. But I’ll bet some cannibals are picky eaters.

A host of bad jokes occurs to me at this point, but I will leave the gross humor to others who are better at it.

Cannibals don’t eat clowns, either. They taste funny.

I didn’t want to laugh, @bob_, but I did anyway.

The ancients did it as part of a f’ed-up religious tradition. They went out of their way to only consume people who started out as whole, valiant, renowned, “powerful” people.

They ate them to gain their power. Someone who was, say missing an arm at birth, is exactly the last thing they would eat.

My favorite satirists, Michael Flanders and Donald Swann (At the Drop of a Hat), do a wonderful patter song with piano accompaniment. The Reluctant Cannibal

Here’s a guy doing a pretty good version of it with a guitar and a variety of voices, although not as good as the original (a one-off). http://www.nyanko.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/fas/hat_canib.html
