I love cherry pie. I’ve made it before—the filling was good but the crust wasn’t. I didn’t learn the secret to good crusts till this year.
Key Lime Cheesecake. Yes, I have. It’s quite easy! I have also made my second favourite, strawberry shortcake, but with popovers as the base.
Tiramisu (however you spell it)
I’ve never made it, though.
Anything beginning with choc & ending in olate…...me cook, hahahahaha nice one ;¬}
Peach cobbler, and yes. Although I really liked the pumpkin cheesecake I made once. That was a pain to do, though.
Tiramisu for sure. I don’t seem to have it very often, but it is beyond awesome.
Chocolate mousse, and no, i’ve never made one from scratch before (besides powdered ones where you just add milk or cream and beat). I’ve ever made it probably mostly because it’s too much effort for my liking – i generally don’t like cooking, so i like the quick and easy recipes.
Key Lime Cheesecake, hands down! Also, with a la mode! and some ice cream!
Sugar cake. The kind that has a thick sugar crust on top.
Gosh so many favorites…I have always gone crazy for German Chocolate cake, my moms cherry cheesecake, hot apple pie. I have made all 3 and just may have to do it tonight! Yum!
A big chunky chocolate and strawberry Ice Cream!
Anything chocolate other than cheesecake.
Chocolate mousse. I haven’t made it from scratch in years, though. Mostly because I went several years without any kind of beaters…
Hot fudge Sundae. with the whipped cream and a cherry of course.
Cheesecake, Key lime and Lemon Merangue pie, ice cream!
Mixed fruit bowl with ice cream topping.
Once a year, usually in Summer, I will make a Mud Pie. Just fantastic!
Crush 50 Oreo cookies. Add one stick of melted butter, and evenly spread it into a 9×15 pan.
Freeze it.
2 hours later, evenly layer two quarts melted vanilla ice cream on top.
Freeze it.
3 hours later, mix 1 can of evaporated milk into 24 oz. of melted chocolate chips. Pour on top of the ice cream evenly.
Freeze it.
When everything is hard, slice and serve. Feeds about 12 people. Or me, 12 times.
It’s the hedonistic weekend again…I am already plotting the evening dessert moment.
( After the evening wine moment lol )
I am craving Maple Nut ice cream with extra chopped Walnuts…oh yes…a stop at the ice cream isle is on my list!
Crème brule is high on my list. I also love ice-cold watermelon.
I’m thinking about chocolate walnut torte.
I’m also thinking of having someone else make it ;)
Hot Apple or rhubarb crumble with custard or cream – yum.
I like apple tart/pie.
I love chocolate delight… anything with cream cheese is a definate delight! I also love a good homemade chocolate pie. No, I haven’t made either but I make a mean oatmeal chocolate chip cookie from scratch!
Nutella and a spoon. Mmmmm
I have to be really careful with desserts because so many of them are loaded with dairy and I have an intolerance of it. I can eat apple pie, or lemon meringue pie, and those are my favourites. I’ve made an apple pie myself (it was a disaster and I will never try it again) but I’ve never attempted lemon meringue. I never eat desserts at home, and in a restaurant it’s only very occasionally. Usually I skip dessert and have a cognac instead.
@downtide Your apple pie could have been worse than the chocolate pie I made.
Oh yeah, Ilke chocolate pies, too. Can’t make ‘em, though.
D’oh. I meant “could not have been worse.” It turned out to be a chocolate soup in a pie crust.
mine turned out with the pastry bottom all mushy. Chocolate soup sounds nice :)
Crème Brûlée and Northwest wild grown Blackberry Cobbler
