Did Steve Jobs ever retaliate against the Apple board members who fired him?
Jobs was forced out of Apple in 1985 and John Scully took over, almost running the company into the ground, until Jobs returned in 1996.

I don’t know if he “retaliated” per se, but he did take the majority of his multi-million dollar severence package and invest it into a little company called PIXAR.
Later, when PIXAR was sold to Disney, he and the other major shareholders did quite well.
And this doesn’t even touch on what he’s accomplished with Apple since his return.
I’d say that success is revenge enough.
There’s the old saying that :
“Living well is the best revenge.”.
And he is living very well indeed.
Revenge is a very distracting impediment to creativity. My guess would be that most likely he didn’t invest a significant amount of energy or time to it.
He just poured his energy into reviving the company. His fruity colored iMacs were the first step. They made quite a splash and put Apple back in the headlines.
Then the debut of the iPod followed by iTunes and the iTunes store.
He pioneered the ability for consumers to buy single songs rather than entire albums. .99 cent songs were unheard of prior.
And then a total burst of creativity. A smart phone that anyone could operate totally intuitively without reading a 16 page manual.
Yeah I’d say that’s enough living well revenge to be satisfying.
And a fantastic legacy.

He was brought in as a consultant, then ousted CEO Gil Amelio by swaying the board to his side.
Considering all he’s done since then, especially when you factor PIXAR into the equation, I say he got his in his own way. And of course, his phenomenal success with Apple since he returned…
I think some of those board members are kicking themselves now.
