What makes Fluther so cool?

The people and the dynamics of the site. Compared to other sites on the internet, not as many idiots show up here. Blunt, but true.

It’s easy to use and understand, easy on the eyes, just the right amount of interactive (not like the overly interactive chat rooms for instance). I like the colors and the users are mostly interesting as well.

The community of users is a big reason. Also, the moderation.

It’s me.

I’ve been wondering that as well. I like Fluther, but some people are really worshipping it :)

I think it is just the interaction with people who give their personal opinions. I’ve been entertained so far.

It eschews a garish site design in favor of subtler colors. Easy on the eyeballs encorages spending more time reading.

The upholding of quality standards by the mods.

Flame wars get doused.

There’s a touch of whimsy and quirkiness.

Doctor J with his glasses makes all us INTENTIONAL nerds just look so cool.

Why that’s easy. The Flutherites who make up the coolective.

It’s the best collective of diverse people you will ever meet.

I think that the reason that Fluther works….when others don’t….is because of the quality of the people who join…witty, articulate, thoughtful, supportive and incredibly intelligent.

And the mods are fab.

Oh, almost forgot the most important thing….the toaster you get when you join. :)

Easy site to navigate. Different viewpoints. Lack of trolls. The other Q & A sites seem dead or one-sided to me.

The frosty receptions? No that’s not true…..the cold sweats whenever you realise you’ve made a spelling error? No that aint it either….....oooh I know, the diversity & the overall feel of the place makes it to cool for school, in certain secluded places anyway.

@ucme I trust you got cold sweats for that comment. I hope, I hope. Unless, of course, that you needed to get to cool [yourself or something else] for school, since you/it were/was so hot, you/it might set off the fire alarms. But I really think you meant too cool for school.

In my case, since I work at a school and I ride my bike to work, I do have to cool myself off for school. Otherwise I look ridiculous. But there is no way I am too cool for this school. No way I am too cool for anything. Why, a stick has more coolness than I do!

You ask pigeon chicks in a pigeon nest. I would never ask someone how good his/her house but I will check the house myself. Of course,I can say lots of beautiful things about this site along with promoting its feature but you should find what makes fluther so different/special yourself since we’re diverse people and we might hold different perception of good site.

I like the “addiction without dangerous drug usage” aspect.

The mods keep a pretty tight reign on spammers. Even when they post an interesting site. Gotta be quick to bookmark it before it’s gone :)
