Do you have any bizarre air plane stories to share?
I found this…it’s an easy read. However, I have nothing to top any of these stories! Do you?

While flying Air Ukraine many many years ago, I had a window seat near the wing. I recall while flying over the ocean watching a piece of the wing sort of curl up on itself and fall off. I was pretty horrified, but all in all it ended up being a calm (albeit long) flight.
I found out that the barf bag doesn’t always work right.
A year or two ago, my folks and four other relatives were on an island hop flight on a small prop plane in the Virgin Islands. The top half of the door popped open shortly after takeoff. The pilot had to turn around and land the plane. In the meantime, everyone had to hope the thing didn’t break off and hit the tail. All good in the end.
I was recently up in a small plane with Vunessuh.The pilot shut the engine off, put the plane in a stall and faked a distress call.I almost peed XD
@kevbo oh jeez, that is terrifying!!!
@DrasticDreamer -I can still do that as I know where he works! XD
@Vunessuh- I would’ve understood had you taken a full-blown shit XD XD
well there was that one time i was riding on an airplane and I looked out the window to see this
The pilots were pulling out of the gate, and all of a sudden, there was a loud banging noise from the back of the plane. People started pushing the call buttons. The flight attendants got the pilots to stop and cut off the engines. The noise persisted. Someone on the runway started investigating, and it turned out that one of the guys loading luggage onto the plane was still in the storage bin when its door was shut.
I’m leaving for florida on 9/11 and the flight cost $911.
I was flying from Bonn to Mexico City, changing planes in Amsterdam. Got to AMS with plenty of time, basically had to walk across the airport to get to the gate (that’s what happens when your first flight is in a small plane and the other in a 747). About an hour before the schedule time to board, they ask for people willing to give up their seats and take another flight that would get them to Mexico City the next day, in exhchange for some money. I passed, because I was tired and wanted to get home. When we were supposed to board, they tell us that the flight is delayed, so we wait about 2 hours until we finally board. Once there, they tell us that there’s another delay, ‘cause they’re checking something out. Two hours pass, and they tell us that they’re ready, except, whoa, not really. Two more hours pass, they serve us dinner, and after about 2 more hours they tell us that the plane can’t fly, and GTFO. Add another hour to get to a counter where they assigned us hotels, an hour to get to the hotel (not that many nearby rooms available for 400+ people at the last minute, so a bunch of buses took people to several hotels), and like 30 minutes to actually get the room. So, basically, the dudes who gave up their seats didn’t have to suffer through that, got home earlier AND made some money. Mofos.
@Pied_Pfeffer I hope he was OK, because I busted out laughing when I heard that! Which…I would feel bad for doing if he’d been hurt.
@Dutchess_III There was a pulsating bulge in his temple as he stomped off, so it may have taken a bit for his blood pressure to go down, but otherwise, he looked fine.
@Pied_Pfeffer Good! That would have been bad bad if he’d gone to altitude…..
