How do I fluff up stuffed animals that i washed in the washing machine, that need their stuffing re-distributed?

Asked by jca (36062points) August 11th, 2010

i washed two of my daughter’s stuffed animals in the washing machine. both of them now are kind of floppy because the stuffing is not evenly distributed anymore. how can i get them back to their original fluffiness without doing more damage?

What I do is find a seam that can be slit and easily stitched back, then pull out all the stuffing, then put it back in and resew it.

When that happened to me I just massaged them until they went back to normal. My old comforter would do that, too. Just be patient with it. :)

I always dried them in the dryer, slowly and very gently.

I put a couple of tennis balls in the dryer with my stuffed animals and put it on low heat.
