Why is my Firefox acting peculiar?

The leftmost [or wherever I drag it to] tab circles and circles but never settles in. The address won’t change in the address bar even though it goes to a new page [and the circling continues]. Could it be a virus?

Have you tried restarting your OS and/or installing the latest Firefox?
I have latest FF and I have rebooted several times. Usually I save my tabs but I have even dumped those. Occasionally FF seems to be running a ‘shadow FF’ from a tag that opened in a window or something but even when I close it it prevents me from saving tabs even though it is not open. weird.
Viruses rarely do little annoying things like that. It sounds like the instructions for this action have become corrupted, which is why it won’t execute properly. Try uninstalling Firefox and then reinstalling. Make sure you delete all the residual files too.
For what it’s worth, I am also running the latest FF, and am not having this problem even with five different windows open, each with ~20 tabs. It must be local to your computer. I agree with @FireMadeFlesh; reinstalling may get rid of the problem.
Try disabling all your extensions all your extensions and themes and see if the problem persists. Most odd things in firefox are are extensions gone wonky.
I use FF beta and even I don’t have such problems, maybe it’s some extension regarding tabs is causing this, if you have any, try disabling it
