I love spinach & artichoke dip. I don’t know if that is the same thing or similar to what you are asking.
Oh gawd. * salivates *
I love hot, cheesy artichoke dip. Applebee’s has a good one and so does Cheesecake Factory and the Elephant Bar. Om nom nom.
I feel that it is quite tasty.
I’ve never encountered it before but yes I’d eat it.
I had a great recipe for spinach artichoke dip actually, I could dig it up if anyone wants it.
De-effin’-licious
@TheOnlyNeffie Ooh, I would love that! It would give me something to do tomorrow.
artichokes are growing on me. There was some in a caprese at the deli.
Spinach dip is okay with anything in it.
I <3 spinach.
LOL, my recipe book is a mess. Half of these recipes are missing the directions. This is what I found written for the dip:
10oz thawed/drained spinach
1½ tsp garlic powder
14oz artichoke hearts, drained & chopped
10oz alfredo sauce (jar or home made)
2 cups shredded mozzerella
½ cup parmesan
8oz cream cheese
Stir & bake (8“x8“pan) at 350 for approximately 30 minutes.
As for the garlic, I am pretty certain that I used chopped garlic in place of the powder, I tend to mess with recipes as I’m going along, so they are never quite identical to what I have written down. I have taken this dip to several parties and have always had someone request the recipe, so feel pretty free to adjust or add whatever you like, I’m sure it would be delicious anyhow.
Interesting and different, bring it on please!
I like it, although it’s too salty.
I am guilty of consuming an entire batch, with a full pound of pumpernickel bread, on more than one occasion.
How do I not weigh 200 lbs?
I love artichokes but haven’t consumed them since I became a vegan.
@Simone_De_Beauvoir I thought vegans could eat vegetables. Or is it just something you cut out?
@Vunessuh Vegan’s can’t consume the dairy in it.
@papayalily Oh, thanks. I didn’t know it contained dairy.
I absolutely love artichokes and spinach dip…. Yummy.
Oh, wait a minute. Is there any dairy in the artichoke itself? That’s what I was wondering..
I know there is dairy in the dip, but I was just talking about the artichoke. Ahh, confusion!
@Vunessuh hee hee you sound like me.. Now I am confused too.
@Vunessuh I should have put ‘artichoke dip’, I’m sorry.
@Simone_De_Beauvoir No worries. I just could have sworn the last time I checked there wasn’t any dairy in an actual artichoke. I just thought I learned something new! :)
Oh that recipe looks fantastic! I bet it’s almost as good as hot crab dip. ((-:
@Aster I like hot artichoke, spinach, and crab dip.
Never had it. Sounds good, though. I like spinach dip, so I should probably like spinach artichoke dip. I’ll have to try it… :)
aaaaaaaaaaaaabsolutely delicious, if made properly.
It is gilding the lily, artichokes are splendid all by themselves.
I’ve never tried it, sounds nasty though. Maybe the name Artichoke, makes me think I’m going to choke on it.
After pondering, I’m reasonably certain I feel nothing about artichoke dip.
