To which category of people do you belong ?
Is food merely sustenance for you, or do you enjoy food enough that is becomes an act that goes beyond sustaning life ?

The food i eat to live isn’t the same food i live to eat.
Depends on what I am eating.
I usually follow Ben Franklin’s maxim, “Eat to live, not live to eat”, although from the pix that I’ve seen of him, he might not have followed his own advice. ;-)
Eating is one of my favorite activities, but most of the food that I enjoy is quite healthful.
So I’d say both, but mostly the former of that maxim.
Eat to live. Unless, it’s chocolate.
Neither category; somewhere in between.
on most occasions, I try to eat things that will fuel my body: eat to live
however, I still have prefrence and enjoy flavorful things,... live to eat?
too little food I love to eat…most of the time I hate eating but I have to eat to live.
I live to eat. It is the one thing I will let myself spend any amount of money on. I don’t splurge on anything else, but food—that is one of the greatest pleasures in life.
@jjmah You really did say exactly what I was going to say. But then again, I do enjoy eating…Especially spicy food. Or chocolate.
Eat to live, and love to eat! I enjoy good food and food related gatherings.
None of us can survive without doing those things.
I eat to live, but I make sure I enjoy it.
I eat when I’m bored. Food entertains my taste buds in said situation.
I eat to live. Not that I don’t really enjoy certain foods, but honestly? If it wasn’t necessary to survive, I’d probably very rarely eat.
@jesienne I’m like you——I don’t like to eat, unless I’m really hungry, and when I do eat, there’s not much I like to eat. Unlike most people, I don’t like sweets (eg., chocolate, candy), and I don’t eat much meat either. I swim a lot, so that makes me hungry, and I need food to keep my muscles in good condition. But yes, I eat to live. ;)
@MRSHINYSHOES Shiny!!
hehe some people say that picky eaters are more likely to suffer depression:) and picky eating sometimes can be a real eating disorder especially for those who can only accept one or few kinds of foods. OCD,Neophobia,Brain Function Disorder,Autism,Food Adversions…can all cause people to become picky eaters
Both. I love food, but I don’t eat too much of it.
Right now I Eat to Live because I can’t afford to Live to Eat ;p I know how though- I miss excellent nom noms.
I would say both. I actually enjoy eating just to eat. I love it even more when I make my own dishes. The taste of good food is something I truely enjoy.
