Depends largely on my outfit, but from day to day I most often wear large (fake) diamond studs or silver balls. I love wearing gold jewelry though, usually paired with black. I rarely wear necklaces or bracelets. I make most of my statements with earrings and rings. Occasionally though, I’ll spice up an outfit with my long charcoal pearl necklace (wrapped around) or one of my long gold ones.
I like jewelry that is simple or understated, nothing big, chunky, or flashy. I’ve always like opals quite a bit.
However, I almost never wear jewelry, and when I do wear it, it’s only for short periods of time. During my second pregnancy I developed an allergy to nickel, which is used in gold and silver jewelry. I can’t even wear my wedding ring without getting a rash all around my finger. When I wear earrings, my earlobes swell up and the earring holes bleed (only keeping them in for a couple of hours isn’t too bad, they just get sore and crusty). Most necklaces and bracelets are OK, probably because they are looser and don’t have as much direct skin contact. The worst they do is make me itchy, but that might even be all in my head.
I think there are metals I could wear, like platinum, but it’s not high enough of a priority to make it into the family budget. I do hope someday to have my wedding band and engagement ring replaced with platinum just because those are the two things I miss wearing. The rest of it I could easily do without.
I like handmade jewellery. I like quirky bits and pieces. I’m not a fan of gold and I love silver. It all depends on my mood and my outfit. Sometimes I feel like making a bold statement. Occassionally I like to keep it simple and wear pearl studs.
i have a ruby ring,
healing stone bracelets
and crystal ear rings
@MissAusten You poor thing. I would hate it I was allergic to silver and gold. I like to wear gold because my hair is brown. and My faovrite is opal . That’s my birth stone.
@jazmina88 Does it really heal? Are you talking about the magnetic jewelry. Do you feel better after you wear it?
I typically wear more silver, but I like gold. I don’t like flashy jewelry. Most of what I own are simple designs, usually diamonds over gemstones. I like clay and turquoise, hemp. Often handmade. I like unique pieces that look earthy or understated. Delicate chains with a small pendant. I don’t care to wear bracelets and the only rings that I wear are my wedding/engagement. I do like dangling earrings, though.
I don’t really like things around my wrists, so bracelets aren’t frequently used. Necklaces are every now and then. Earrings are my go-to, mostly from Claire’s. I’m not a big fan of gold. I wear brass and silver a lot. Pearls, as well. I got a whole bunch of my great grandmother’s jewelry that I wear.
I like silver or white gold, not so much yellow gold. I like wearing rings and necklaces and bracelets. I don’t mind if it has stones in it, but i usually don’t like oval shaped stones. I like many sorts of stones, whether they’re precious (diamonds, saphires) or crystals. I like bagette diamonds in rings, my engagement ring has bagette diamonds in it and a square saphire. I like wearing long necklaces or short choker type ones. I usually like my necklaces to have pendants of some sort on them.
I like gold, but I don’t ever wear much jewelery. Just small earrings, very thin choker like gold necklaces.
I wish I could wear the cheap stuff, but my skin is so sensitive that it all turns my skin green.
I like gemstones a lot – I wear jewelry I get on Etsy all the time. My wedding band was made by an artist from Etsy – generally I have a couple of necklaces I change up…except for a love amulet I bought long ago in a witchcraft store, the rest have been made for me by jewelry makers. I’m back to wearing earrings – mostly just one pair of earrings my friend gave me for my birthday because they mean a lot to me.
@Simone_De_Beauvoir I will have to check it out. I was into Witchcraft once. I went to a herb store. I bouht a book. Well fascinated with it not Hardcore. I made a necklace that brought me luck.
