Has anyone else noticed that in the Spongebob cartoon, Mr. Krabs lives in Bikini Bottom?
I just realized that. Been watching that with my kids for several years, and it just now clicked. Eeewwwwwww. Why do cartoon creators have to throw in sick shit like that when they know kids will be watching it?

Ha! Not until you pointed it out, can’t wait to tell my wife :-)
For shits and giggles, I imagine. The kids won’t notice.
Yeah but all the other residents have had the jab so they’re fine…......well apart from Patrick but then he’s too thick to know any better :¬)
Can’t say I have since my kids are way past it, but that is pretty funny.
I think they do it to give the adults something to enjoy while their children are watching the cartoons.
Subliminal preparation for the future.
I think a lot of the one liners and puns in cartoons are hilarious; as kids we didn’t grasp all of the adult humor in Looney Toons or the other cartoons we watched. I can watch those now, and laugh my ass off.
I don’t think body bugs like crabs and lice are funny, I just think they’re gross. It makes me think of dirty, unhygienic people.
Given that Tom Kenny was a writer and performer on Mr. Show with Bob and David, and that many of the Spongebob folk were also part of Rocko’s Modern Life (a 90s Nickelodeon cartoon rife with double entendres), I am not shocked in the least.
I giggle at their shenanigans, in fact. Because I’m 12.
Isn’t a sponge a contraceptive device?
Maybe it should be Sponge-worthy SquarePants?
@janbb omg LOL!!! That was one of the best episodes ever.
I think that it’s funny.
Kids wouldn’t notice.
Wow, I did not notice that! My respect for this show and its writers has just tripled.
Haha that’s funny. They should be that creative on childrens’ TV more often.
Haha anyone would think it was more for adults too at times.
