Strange to love the rain?
For as long as i can remember, I’ve always loved the rain. I prefer a drizzly day over a bright sunny one for some reason.
I think I find rain refreshing, reminding you that your still here, that part of the world is touching you maybe. I don’t know haha. anyone get this feeling as well?

I don’t need rain to remind me that I am still here. However, I love rain and have always. I like to be out in the rain. I played in the rain as a kid, my kids played in the rain—I played with them in the rain.
It’s not strange at all! It’s my absolute favourite weather as well!! :) I actually don’t understand how most people always refer to a rainy day as “miserable weather”, it actually pee’s me off (don’t ask me why!).
I don’t like being in the rain and getting wet from it, but i love it nonetheless, and i love thunderstorms as well. Having said that, i absolutely love warm (NOT hot, i hate heat) summer days where you get to spend time outside in the garden or having a BBQ and stuff, but rainy days are cozy and i love the smell of rain and wet ground and the sound of rain and the mistiness that it sometimes brings along as well.
I feel sorry for people who are always miserable and complaining every time it rains, the sorry sods that they are. ;) (maybe they’d prefer it if their area went through a drought instead, maybe then they’ll learn to quit nay-saying the rain already!)
I too LOVE the rain and especially on a warm sunny day where you can walk or dance around enjoy the natural shower on your face. My favorite is to sit on a porch in my rocker and listen to the raindrops cascading on the leaves of the trees and plants.
OMG, I feel exactly the same way. And it’s ironic, given that I’ve always lived in places where it rains so rarely, including Phoenix and Austin. I adore a rainy day, even an overcast one that holds the promise of rain. And stormy nights with lots of thunder ad lightning are the best for sleeping, making love, or just chilling out. Rainy days take me back to my earliest youth, when our house had a screened-in back porch. I vividly remember sitting on the porch on a rainy day, or sleeping out there sometimes. If I had a time machine (as I’ve often mentioned on Fluther) that’s the first time/place I’d go.
I love the rain too, but only at this time of the year. Especially when out walking!
Me, too. The Seattle weather never bothered me, I always felt cozy there. The only rain I hate is November in New England. It’s bleak and bone-chilling…Dickensian.
I laugh when the local weatherman mentions we are going to have a gloomy day because of the rain. I say bring it! I love rain, thunderstorms, snow and fog. A bright, hot sunny day can be very depressing for me.
I like the different types of weather. All of the differences make me feel so alive. A savage thunderstorm makes me appreciate Mother Nature, a cold crisp winter day, a nice sunny morning, its all good.
And welcome to fluther.
I love, love, love the rain. It’s great to listen to whilst cuddling/get amorous with your SO.
No,I like it and it takes alot of blame
Very unfair! XD
I adore rain!! I can sit in the garage and just stare at it. Then if it continues for a few days? It can be too much. And I adore the sound of thunder, too.
I love the rain. Sometimes I think society has taught us to hate rain and so people say they hate it because that’s what everyone around them is saying. But really, it is quite beautiful and refreshing. I love the mood it produces. It’s one of the great perks of living in Seattle now.
I love rain, too. (As long as I wasn’t planning a trip to the beach or anything.) Also, when I am in a bad mood, I especially prefer rain to sunshine.
I love the rain, but from inside, because i HATE humidity. Also the clouds and darkness are cozy-feeling. My favorite is going to sleep during rain or a thunderstorm sooo goood :)
When im completely soaked from the rain i cant say i’m overjoyed..but I love the smell of rain though…
I adore the rain. One of my fondest memories is going to the beach in the dead of winter when it was pouring buckets. If its raining, I’m outdoors relishing it.
One problem, though, is that rain often brings me sinus headaches.
Who doesn’t love to hear the rain as they’re all snug in bed? Nobody, that’s who.
It’s not strange at all. I myself have always much preferred overcast, rain and snow over bright blue skies, any day.
I like the sound of rain. It is good at filtering out other noise, is relaxing and helps me to sleep easier.
I love the sound of rain. It splattering against your window. And there is nothing cosier than sitting with a cup of hot coffee and draping yourself with a warm afghan. I love sound of thunders quite a lot too. Its eery but at the same time strangely satisfying, knowing that the weather is going to be cool. :)
