How would you feel about another way to add topics to your fluther profile? (see details)
With the recent change with the topics and the addition of the people tab, I started thinking about how we get the topics into our profiles. As of right now, we have to manualyl write everything we think of. While that works well, things could be missed if we don’t think of every variation of a topic.
What if we could click on the topics and there was another button to click that would add that topic to our profiles? Does anyone else think this could be useful? How difficult would something like that be to incorporate on Fluther?

Sounds like a very good idea to me.
Standardizing a topic list for selection in the profile would be helpful as long as there are free text fields where a person could indicate interests and areas of expertise not yet on the lists.
Already working on it. :)
@andrew That’s nice to know! You guys rock! ^_^
@andrew Good idea. Right now “Questions for You” doesn’t seem to be working well. Maybe a list of standard topic words for profiles would fix this.
This is an excellent idea. It’s the way Livejournal does Interests and it works very well.
I removed a bunch of questions in the “Questions for You” yesterday and since then have gotten nary a question. Is this a bug or a punishment?
@janbb Same thing happened to me, only one or two questions where I normally get dozens.
I’ve noticed the same thing. I’ve seen questions that I think should have shown up in my “questions for you” but I don’t think I’ve had a question there all day.
So the Fluther-gods aren’t just punishing me then? Yay!
Dr J hurt his tentacle and so matching hasn’t been working today.
Poor Dr J – give him our love and hopes for a speedy recovery!
It sounds like a helpful addition, I don’t know how diffucult it would be.
