Is there effective laser treatments or surgery for bad wrinkles of the decollete?

Asked by JLeslie (65743points) August 18th, 2010

I used to live next to a plastic surgeon and he said there isn’t, don’t let any doctor tell you there is. But, that was many years ago, and I was wondering if times have changed. I actually would probably never do surgery, but this part of my body used to be a favorite part and after too much sun I think the area from my neck to my breasts looks 10 years older than I am, if not more. I have had wrinkles around my eyes since I was a young teen, but they don’t bother me as much. Go figure.

you can get laser treatment or a good acid peel and it would look alot better- as far as any kind of ‘lift’ or actual surgery no

Do the treatments make the skin look like you had a layer of skin peeled off? I know people seem to think new fresh skin is better, but I think it looks like you had a peel done. I just want fewer wrinkles not an artificial rejuvenation look.

I’m sure the doctor can tell you which treatment can leave a few character and wisdom wrinkles while removing the effects of excessive sun exposure. My guess is the laser procedure would be more specific than an acid peel. I agree that surgery would be unnecessarily invasive.
