Who are the people whose pictures are in the American Voices section of the Onion?

Asked by sjg102379 (1250points) March 5th, 2007
In the American Voices section of the Onion, the pictures are always of the same 6 people. Who are those people in real life? Were they randoms, or are they Onion staffer-related? I've been thinking about this for a couple years but never had a forum to ask about it.

I asked that question in my interview with The Onion for Wikinews. Here’s a link to a blog post about it. where the President, Sean Mills, and the editorial manager, Chet Clem, answer.

Besides the minimally told tale of one of them being a UPS guy, the links invariably lead to a page not found, or the same tired interview that refers to a page that then directs to a link of a page not found. There is absolutely no answer as to who these people are other then “random people on the streets of Madison on one single day”.
