There are 453526 “what is your favorite…?” questions, but none for Star Wars.
So… who is your favorite character?
Why? What makes them the best?
(From either the movies, Clone Wars or the extended universe.)
You lose points if you say Jar Jar.
I have an obsession with Boba Fett. He escaped the Sarlaac, and has a jetpack. What more could you want?
Extended universe, I’m a big fan of Zayne Carrick from Knights of the Old Republic.
Also, Kerra Holt.. but that’s another discussion.

I have only seen the first one (episode 4), so I have to say… Ummm… R2D2, does that guy count? He was awesome :3
Scratch that, just found out about the infamous special-that-shall-not-be-named. Lumpawarrump is my new favorite.
Wedge Antilles from Star Wars (Episode IV: A new Hope).
He’s the guy who looks at Luke Skywalker after he says “It’s not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they’re not much bigger than two meters”, and the look on his face is like ‘who is this little douche?’.
Han Solo
He’s just a badass. Perhaps the biggest badass next to Snake Plissken and Bruce Lee
The Imperial stormtrooper who bumps his head on the doorway in the first movie, which was one of three movies that didn’t suck.
Jabba the Hutt.He was just so…..yucky ;)
Not very original but Obi Wan. I’ve loved him since I was little. In kindergarten they asked us what we wanted to be when we grow up and I said “Obi Wan Kenobi!”
Lurve not only for a great question but for one that suits Ms. Rangerr to a T! Since I am so woefully under informed on the subject, I polled the boys. Here are their answers:
Full-Size: TK427 because he is awesome and is never at his command post.
Mid-Size: Mace Windu because he is the only guy with a purple light saber.
Economy Size: Yoda because he looks like a Muppet and is the master of all Jedi.
@JONESGH my middle son refused to answer anyone who did not call him Obi Wan his entire kindergarten year – he even wrote it on all of his papers. Fortunately his teacher was kind and indulged him!
Yoda has been my favorite since I was a little kid. I just thought it was so cool to see the things he could do.
My son’s favorite is Lord Vader. He even calls him Lord Vader instead of Darth Vader.
@SuperMouse Does he mean TK-421? Either way, I’m impressed!
@Seaofclouds Lord Vader is technically correct, though.
@rangerr Yeah, I know it’s correct. I just think it’s cute that he has such a high level of admiration for him.
Han Solo. Thought he looked sexy in that movie. Today, I don’t find Harrison Ford all that attractive.
Ah, the age-old question, second only to the “Mr. Darcy or Mr. Knightly” conundrum! I do sometimes ponder…who’s cooler? Han Solo or Yoda? You got the hot bad boy with a conscience and fetish for cinnamon bun hair, and then you got the little wrinkly old dude who sometimes his words mixes up but is the most powerful Jedi. The only parts of the “new” movies worth watching are the parts where Yoda bounces around with his light saber.
So, I don’t know. I haven’t figured it out. Han Solo was my first crush, and Yoda is just…Yoda. I guess I’d choose Han Solo if I really had to, just because I’d rather make out with a scoundrel.
I like Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. I love the whole story about him, the good and evil inside him, fighting. It’s just awesome.
Anakin before he went evil.
I used to like Boba Fett until they filled in his back story. Kind of took the mystery out of him. Now I have a soft spot for that walrus faced dude from the Cantina, after seeing Robot Chicken.
Lightning + Hands = Win. I like the Emperor.
I also have to cast a pity vote for poor Greedo. He never really had a chance.
Princess Leia…she showed more common sense than Luke and Han and took action. R2-D2 is a close second for the same reasons.
My real favorite is Hans Solo, cause he really doesn’t give a crap.
The Ewoks!
Fine, Han solo. So, so pretty.
Padmé Amidala, for the obvious reason!
”@Pied_Pfeffer” hahaha we are so predictable aren’t we…:)
Darth Vader.
The scene where he Force-chokes that mouthy dude on the Deathstar (“I find your lack of faith disturbing”) is so classic.
Chewbacca… You just want to hug him.
I’d have to say Yoda. I mean how can you not like a little green midget thing that can lift up a plane with his mind powers?
I’m going to have to pick more than one so there :¬P
R2-D2 (Cute, funny & dependable)
Chewbacca (For that roar alone, although love his sarcasm)
Wicket (I mean just awwwwwwww)
Jango Fett
@MissAusten : Mr. Knightley in general, but Colin Firth’s Mr. Darcy in the BBC production is pretty fabulous.
Hans Solo.
After all he is a stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf-herder.
I also have a bit of a soft spot for C3PO. He reminds me of my grandma, always worried and pessimistic, feeling unliked and underappreciated. Except in the new movies, where C3PO was turned into a lame joke.
I like the Captain’s accent and mastery of the English language! He’s bald, too, which I like. (-;
@Aster Psst, that is Star Trek, not Star Wars.
OH, darn; I’m half asleep.
“light-up sword”
I love this kid.
Obi Wan Kenobi for sure. I did have a crush on toddler Anakin when I was that age, but who didn’t?
I was 10 when I first saw Star Wars in 1977, and right from the start I loved Han Solo best. I wanted to BE Han Solo.
@downtide : Gee, I was 23 when I first saw Star Wars in 1977, and right from the start I wanted to DO Han Solo!
@downtide : Dangerous. You’re already way too cute!
@JilltheTooth If you’re judguing me by my avatar here you’re going to be VERY disappointed. That’s not the real me.
@downtide : Hey, buddy, mine’s a dog….. ;-)))
@downtide : Well, I’ve never much liked CG characters, so I guess it has to be your own sweet self!
Hans Solo, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Quigon Gin, Yoda, The Rancor, Mace Windu, Senator/Emporor Palpatine, Jabba the Hutt, Bail Organa are amongst my favorites. Kind of hard to select a top favorite. I love those movies so much
I felt bad for the Rancor’s keeper.
@mrentropy I also felt bad for the Rancor’s keeper.
My all time favorite characters were the Emperor’s Royal Guards (dudes in red suits/capes that protected the Emperor like praetorian guards). They had the same badass mystique that Boba Fett has, without the misfortune of being played by a kid who was almost as annoying as Jake Lloyd (Anakin in Episode I). It’s a real shame we never got to see them in action with those pikes they cary.
Dude, my pick is obvious. Han Solo!
YODA!!! Hello!!! He might have been small and older than dirt but he could kick some but!
Han Solo, because I respect anyone with the sense to shoot first.
He didn’t shoot 1st in the remake…............ Hee hee hee (0ops, spoiler alert I guess)
