Inspired by a question earlier today, and my answer to it, i thought about this:
If you would (want to) change into the clothes of the opposite sex, what kind of clothes would that have to be for you?
If you are not even close to considering such a thing, use your imagination, if you please.
I realize that i would not look quite like a woman, but if i did it one day, it has to be a women’s suit with flat shoes (i’m already 6 feet 5).
So, ladies, what men’s wear for you?
Men, what dress for you?
It is merely for fun, this question, so don’t be shy!

A perfectly tailored black tuxedo.Can i wear heels? ;)
Oooh!Or Marine Corp dress blues. That’s just beautiful.I don’t care who you are! ;)
@rebbel -I would probably wear that,no problem! :)
Jeans and a tee shirt.
Or a pair of shorts and no shirt.
We had a cross dress day in high school during school spirit week. I wore a men’s suit. If I were to do it again, I would wear another suit or maybe a tux with a top hat.
A really expensive men’s suit tailored to fit me. With a vest and a tie.
I’d wear those tight girly jeans with jewels on them and those shirts that show the bare midriff. ;)
Either that or a bikini…
A suit and tie. (Ooops, I gave myself away!)
@rebbel Aah, now I see. Thank you very much on both counts!
A wifebeater and basketball shorts.
A ZZtop t-shirt, some farmer overalls and I’d wield one o dem huge chainsaws meant for cutting down the elders of the Earth.
I would dress like this. Either that, or like a pirate. Usually I hate wearing trousers, but give me a ruffly shirt and a cravat and I’ll get over it pretty quickly.
I’d dress like a cowboy, or in a Tux with tails.
Probably something like an old-time reporter. You can’t go wrong with poofy trousers, suspenders, and a nice pair of Oxfords.
I would also wear a woman’s suit: a pencil skirt with a blazer or whatever lol.
I’d probably wear some suit like Roger Sterling‘s. He’s a dapper sonuvabitch. And a nice vintage Dobbs fedora. I’m almost positive my grandfather had one of these back in the day.
I wear skirts occasionally. I’m quite fond of them. I’m not sure there are many feminine articles of clothing I like quite as much as a nice flowing skirt.
I already have quite a selection ; ) mostly too young for my age.
What I would really like but can’t afford is a gorgeous “princess style” ball gown
Boxers- silk one at that. They have some cute ones, I actually wear my husband dress shirts some times.
Sexy French maid for me. Although there may be one or two issues regarding the crotchless knickers & peek-a-boo bra. Alternatively i’d be up for wearing Barbara Bush’s jockstrap XD
I’d go for comfort. A plaid flannel shirt hanging out with jeans that have some lycra in them. Tennis shoes and a cigar. kidding
And forget the bra; dreadful things.
I lurve menswear so I’d go with a fine suit, all the trimmings. I’d even go for a snazzy man haircut, my bf’s colognes (I picked them), my ex husband’s dress shoes & belts and my ex bf’s ties.
boxers…..and a v neck undershirt
Thank you all, for your responses!
Well being transsexual (female to male) I’m in a kind of a weird position on this because I’ve been wearing clothes of the “opposite” sex for nearly 40 years and now, thank god, I don’t have to any more.
But if I did – and bearing in mind that I’m pre-surgery so I do still have the body to pull it off – I’d wear something gothy, with acres of crushed velvet, and a corset. I’d have to wear a wig though. A buzz-cut just wouldn’t do.
I’ve always thought women in nicely tailored men’s suits are hot, so I think that’s what I would go for. Starched white shirt, pin-stripe suit, narrow funky tie and a fedora – oh yeah!
Most skirts seem like they’d be comfortably roomy, and those wrap-around dresses that sort of look like a kimono would probably be nice insofar as you somewhat choose how they fit. The greatest advantage, however, would probably be the ability to wear something that exposed parts of my legs but still counted as formal enough for work. Wearing long pants to work in the summer can be really annoying at times.
I’d wear lots of ladies lacy lingerie, underneath a short sheer dress that would show-off my lingerie. A pair of sheer stockings attached to a lacy garter belt, a pair of sheer nylon panties with lace trim, a lace bra, etc.
EVERYTHING that I want to see a woman wearing, but doesn’t anymore.
