Which economically stable countries do not have a military force?
Are there any economically stable countries that don’t have any armed forces? How do you think their lack of military is possible? Would you want to live in any of those countries?

Depends on your definition of stable, but Costa Rica quit theirs some time ago in favor of education and health care.
Luxembourg has no navy or air forces and has an army smaller than a battalion (about 800). They are heavily protected by NATO treaties however.
My definition for a stable country would be any country that is not considerably high on the failed states list. Social and political indicators are included in addition to economic.
Switzerland can mobilize a large army at short notice though. The standing army is tiny but almost every male from 18–55 is a reservist. As their national sport is target shooting, one would not want to face them on a battlefield. When asked what would happen if an army twice their size invaded, an old Swiss sergeant said “each of us would have to shoot twice”.
New Zealand has taken steps towards it. They have dissolved a large part of their armed forces, and I think no longer have a navy or air force.
Iceland has no army, which is why the Soviets invaded it in the mid-80s…oh wait, that was the plot of Red Storm Rising.
As for whether I would want to live in Iceland..no, it’s a tiny, cold rock stranded in the middle of the North Atlantic populated entirely by massively inbred vikings. The fact that it has no defence force would be irrelevant to me, because nobody would want to invade it in the first place.
Apple and Microsoft. No wait—they do.
Well i was about to say Iceland, but then i saw the economically stable part
Switzerland on the other hand has a large reservist force. All able bodied men within a certain age group are expected to do reservist training every year.
