What is the best place in the world?
I mean the place where your soul feels most at peace, the place where you feel most comfortable being yourself.

No place like home: Grafton County, New Hampshire.
At home. Home is where my heart is.
At home, in my bed to be precise :)
My bed, it’s not too firm and not too soft.
My bedroom, when I am with my friends, who are either younger or older, when I am with them I feel like in heaven, I can do whatever I want, act childish or old-ish or whatever!
My room though is the best place in the world. I can do whatever I want in there either with someone knowing or not.
I’m rethinking my answer. Detroit, with Halloween approaching sounds pretty good. :) Lots of fires to keep you warm.
After my most recent holiday, I have to say anywhere in the Andes Mountains is amazing. Of course I couldn’t live there though; Australia will always be home.
@FireMadeFlesh Drop by and I’ll fix you a Vegemite sandwich (I lived in Canberra for three years as a child).
The highlands of Scotland is the place where, so far in my life, I have felt most at peace.
Flagstaff in the fall/winter and the Grand Canyon at dawn.
I’m going to have to agree with the in bed crowd. Anybody wanna snuggle?
@jjmah Good. Just don’t hog my pillow. :)
Anyone else thinking If she wanted to snuggle with me, she could have both pillows, all the blankets, and the comforter?
Can never have enough pillows.
Oh man, jazmina88, You’ll have to help me put my heart back in, then I’ll crawl to the shelter to get you one.
London. Yes. When I was there, felt like I was breathing.
At home, sitting in front of the TV with a good book and a glass of wine.
The beach, or the forest when it’s raining. So peaceful.
My house around the holidays, in the evening, with my dad’s family over, Frank Sinatra playing, the fireplace going, Christmas tree up, snow on the ground, a full stomach, high spirits :)
Snuggled down in a cabin in the Rockies with a roaring fire or a parking lot in Detroit. (-:
My garden :-)
weather permitting! ;-/
on top of my latex foam pad.
@Austinlad No heat or a/c? Where do you cook when it’s raining and snowing?
Say goodbye to book collections. /-:
The place I feel most like I’m in my own element, where I feel at peace, where I feel most like myself is actually on stage playing a character who is not myself.
I know that sounds odd, but I truly feel like me when I’m pretending not to be me. Acting is my passion.
@Aster, true… but not much upkeep either. ;-)
I know but I’m not telling.
Where I am right now, in my kitchen with a beautiful view of the city I grew up in.
@FireMadeFlesh Not really, just assumed that Aussies were supposed to like the stuff.
@stranger_in_a_strange_land I like it, but its not a staple in my diet. Its great to take with you on a holiday though – its the taste of home. The last time I had Vegemite I was in Peru, and it tasted better there than it ever had.
@iphigeneia boy, are you lucky. The best place in the whole world is your kitchen?
@Aster well, I’ve been to some places that are more interesting, more beautiful and more famous, but if you focus on the description of this question, this room fits the bill.
At home with my dogs. But, there are other places I feel in complete peace too. One is Monkey World in Dorset, England. Love those chimps and orangs.
