Is there a program to search through my current window for a keyword?

I was wondering if there was a program to search through my current window such as word or notepad for a specific keyword. Do you know of any?

FYI….there is a program called Evernote.com which will save anything and then recall it by searching every word in the saved piece, regardless of the source from which it is saved.
