At the second stage in the recovery process where you are sent an email with a confirmation code, the code does not get sent to my email. But facebook still recognizes and uses my email.

Bear with me on this, as I’m not sure I’m clear on the specific situation. Can you still log in to your FB account? Have you sent a notification to FB that your account has been hacked?
My account has been suspended, and as I’m going through the steps to recover my account I can’t get past step 2 because the confirmation code is not sent to my email. However, if I just try to change my password I get an email from facebook, so I know my email is still being used by facebook. Does that make sense?
I think so, and yes, that is odd. I’ve listed 2 e-mail accounts on my FB account, and all communication has been sent to the one listed as ‘primary.’ Could it be that the FB techs are just moving slowly on sending the confirmation code? From all that I’ve read here on Fluther and on the FB Help Site, it can be days before they respond.
I think I figured it out – the confirmation code for some reason was being sent to my junk email folder.
I hope that’s it. Let me know.
Alright, I’m recovered. thank you for your help, friend!
NP…the only help I gave though was a bit of support in a time of need. You are the one that solved the problem.
Also, incase something like this ever happens again, Facebook has an option to try and recover your account even if your email was also hacked. You can verify your account by your phone too which I think is really cool!
You will be sent an SMS text to confirm so make youre you’ve signed up for Mobile Facebook
