How does one become a flight attendant?
Is there an easy way to “break into” this vocation? Just exploring at this point.

That’s a good question. There’s quite a bit of info about it here.
If you’re in the US, it looks like you’ll need FAA certification and a high school diploma, although that site says the airlines are looking for college degrees now.
Virtually every airline requires that you have a high school degree or Government Equivalency Degree (G.E.D.) If you did not finish high school or have not passed the G.E.D., do not bother to apply for a job as a flight attendant. You absolutely won’t get hired without a high school degree (or equivalent).
When you review each airline’s minimum hiring qualifications, you should realize that these are merely minimums. More is always better, especially when it comes to education. Just because you have a high school degree, do not expect to walk into an airline employment office, show your diploma and get hired.
Many airlines look favorably upon applicants who have tried to better themselves by pursuing higher education. A recent study shows that over one-half of all flight attendants hired have at least one year of college under their belt, and over one-third have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. A few even have Master’s degrees or Doctorate’s; these types of advanced degrees are certainly not required for the job, but will be helpful if you plan on pursuing a management or supervisory position someday.

This site talks about the interview process and has many other facts.
If you have a high school degree and a great personality, just apply. You have a better chance at getting hired at a regional airline, but you can apply at the majors as well. Be prepared, the pay is low. Flight attendants usually do the job for the benefits. Free travel and things like that.
1) Have part of your brain surgically removed
2) Practice sliding down an inflatable slide with beers in your hand
3) Stand in front of the mirror repeating “bye buhbye bye” for 20 minutes
4) Find an old seat belt, hold it over your head, and insert the tip into the buckle while nobody watches you
Emirates is a UAE based airline that flys basically all over the world. The pay is approx US$4000 per month and you live in staff accommodation in Dubai which is quite good standards. Check them out on the website under careers, the recruitment process is a full day doing group exercises and the key is to smile no matter what you’re saying, and be a ‘listener’ not someone who wants to be boss of the group discussions. Wear a suit or professional attire and make-up, they do a height test so if you’re really short they wont take you because you cannot reach the overhead lockers. They will hold these in most countries as they like to have a mix of nationality on board. But do bear in mind, you live out of a suit case, travel with a different crew each flight, and eat alone most of the time. Oh best of all, the UAE is tax free salary!! Good luck !!
