Why are my fluther avatars gone?

I’m not sure I understand exactly what you’re talking about—could to describe it a different way?

Next to (to the left of) each post is a picture, an avatar. Everyone has an avatar.
But on my fluther, there is a blank space to the left of each post where there used to be a picture or avatar. thanks.

I thought I answered this question, but my answer isn’t here. That’s bizarre!!

This happened to me once before, and restarting my computer fixed it. I don’t know if the same would work for you.. but it’s worth a shot.

I lost 2 of my stored avatars last week too! Gone forever…. (Sniffles)

Are you talking about the (up to) three non-selected avatars on your account or everyone’s avatars?

@timtrueman mine and most everyone’s!! I thought that not being able to change mine was bad enough; now this happens.

Hmmm. Well, that seems quite odd. I can imagine how that would be quite distressing! Can you click contact at the top and report the issue there? That will capture some information that will help us fix the problem.

Yes; if that means turning off the pc and re-starting. Didn’t work.

I the only thing I can think of it you might try switching to a more modern browser. Either a newer version of IE or something like Chrome, Safari or Firefox.

@timtrueman My pc will not download a new browser!! You click on “download Safari” and in one second it says , ‘thanks for downloading Safari’ but it isn’t there. Same thing with Opera or IE8.

That sounds like you might be having deeper Internet-related issues. Are you seeing problems on other websites too?

@timtrueman no, but I think you’re right because my right click won’t work and my toolbar with edit and view is gone. It can only be seen when I click ” Start, Internet Options and there it is again, unusable. Also, I cannot retrieve my Yahoo photos or change my avatar or even download photo links friends send to me on yahoo. Only thing that works well is left clicking. I can’t even turn the pc off using the mouse; have to do it on the front of the pc.

Sounds like it’s time for a new computer, darlin’. :(

took pc for repair and VIRUS was mentioned. 7>10 day wait which is unacceptable!!

I couldn’t live with that either. New computer it is!

but they said they could fix it. No?

Oh, I’m sure they can. I was just saying I doubt I could live with the 7 to 10 day wait. I’m not a patient kind of girl! ;)
