What else could you do, if you advertised it in the paper or at the police station you’re going to get thousands claiming it to be theirs…..
And whoever lost it was a sucker!
Yes!
You think you can actually find the “rightful owner”?
SRM
Yup! ;D
finders keepers, losers weepers!!
Of course I’d take it! I like money!
short of doing in depth forensic examinations of the ticket, there is no reliable way of funding the rightful owner, so basically, yeah, I’d keep the ticket and claim the money. Although, I’m sure once you were pasted all over the news, assuming the person who originally had it knew it was a winner, the “real” winner would more than likely hunt you down and let you know what they thought…
@ dpena: who doesn’t like money? I need to meet them and offer my services. I’ll gladly take their money of of their hands.
and to answer the question.. of course!
yes i would.
only when i got the money
i’d give some to a charity of my choice.

well duh! Unless it was signed. That is why I always sign my ticket, just in case. And legily there is nothing anyone can do if it is unsigned and you sign it.
Definitely keeping it, sorry!!
people find treasure n keep it. Y not a million dollar lotto ticket?
Yes, keep it and give all of it away except enough to go to France for a month. Or
no, maybe Spain. Or, yeah, definitely Spain. Or both! Oh wait, and also…

Perhaps GAWD arranged for you to “find” it?
Wouldn’t it be a blasphemy to reject a gift from “The Almighty?”
