Which 70's or 80's disco song made you jump on to the dance floor?

I am big fan of disco hits from the seventies and the eighties.
Right now i am listening and watching a three hour show which is aired every new years eve on the German television.
If you were already around in those decades, or if you weren’t but you catched up later on disco music, can you tell me your all time favorite? Here is one of my favorites.
I can search them myself okay, but if you can make it easy for me (and others) and provide a link, that would be even greater!
Here’s the ZDF Kultnacht – Das Beste aus Disco

Turn the beat around….how I love percussion
Anything by Donna Summer!
Disco Inferno. Still one of my favorites.
@Austinlad YEAHHHHH!!!!!!! anything by earth wind and fire. when “shining star” comes on i BOLT out of my seat. “everybody dance now”...someone did at karaoke last night. i was all over the place.
Gotta say I love the all the Bee Gee’s disco stuff, too.
Gosh even though I am so overdone from the 1,000+ times I danced to it Caribbean Queen would be one for me!
Brick House would have been one of them. She’s mighty, mighty ..
“I Will Survive” gets me out there doing my Elaine Benis imitation every time. (You’ve been warned!)
Very danceable stuff you all put down there, thanks!
Never heard of Jean Carn though, @jjmah, i like it.
I got the 12 inch of Let It All Blow by The Dazz Band, @aprilsimnel, but that one is nice too!
Donna Summers (of course)
Poison – Bel Biv Devoe
Gloria Gaynor “I will survive”.
@deni Yes, Earth, Wind and Fire. Awesome, always.
Pointer sisters? I’m trying to remember the singers because I wasn’t much of a disco fan. There was a song with the line ‘I’m so excited’ in it.
@faye
That would be The Pointer Sisters’ I’m So Excited.
One of my first 7” records was Happiness by them.
With a crack in it at about the 2nd minute of the song.
I sang so many times when i played that single with the crack that whenever i hear the song on the radio now, i always am confused when they play a prefect version of it :-)
@rebbel Thanks, I thought so but am so bad at titles, I wasn’t sure. song gets my blood flowing!
@rebbel I was/am a big Pointer’s Sisters fan but I preferred their “non-disco” stuff, I guess you would call. Like, Wang Dang Doodle and Yes We Can Can among others, are my favorites, particularly _Yes
We Can Can_.
@rebbel, I told you your other question got me listening to my vinyl, and so I have been reuniting myself with the Pointer Sisters all week.
@rebbel but your question was about disco that just demands that we get up and dance, wasn’t it? I’m a little off topic. :-)
:-) @lillycoyote I envy you. i must really ask my turn table back from my little brother
I’m going to listen to your non-disco Pointer Sisters tomorrow! now it’s about time for sleep.
Edit: It’s in Social, @lillycoyote, so no problem.
I like to hear chit chat as well as disco songs :-)
@rebbel I ask all my questions in Social. Here are a couple more from the ladies for the morning:
Betcha Got a Chick on the Side
that one’s nice and funky
And here’s their big country hit Fairytale
Yeah, really the song hit something like #37 on the country charts. Great talents.
Play that funky music white boooooy….....
Sorry, I’m really getting into this.
A classic that most certainly cannot be overlooked:
LaBelle’s Lady Marmalade
Oh God…..this is a flashback moment! lol
@filmfann I was going to post that one!!! Good for you.
Earth Wind and Fire In the Stone!!!
The only way i’d have jumped on the dance floor is if I was armed with an Uzi. I fucking despise disco with a passion.
Shame
Evelyn “Champagne” King on Youtube.
You have one foot in the grave, if you do not get off your rear and dance to this song.
Also, Knock On Wood
