How do I get rid of Growl Mail?
I recently got a new mac and I had Growl for mail installed on my previous machine. When I transferred everything over I get an error message every time I open my mail. I can’t find the program to delete it. Any suggestions?

There are instructions here for removing Growl. If you just want to change the settings, go to your Apple Menu and choose System Preferences. Growl should show up at the bottom in Other, and you can make changes there.
@llewis Don’t get rid of Growl, I’m pretty sure this person wants to know how to disable this specific plugin for Growl.
FInd your Mail application, right click and “Show Package Contents”. Then navigate to “Plugins” and delete the “GrowlMail.bundle” file.
It should be gone after that.
Growl is a great notification utility. Make sure you have the latest version, 1.2.1. It doesn’t auto-update very reliably.
I don’t have anything on my computer that indicates I have growl except for the error message when I open Mail. I think I need to mine the files or something because I cannot perform the two solutions proposed above.
