Good shoe insert for leather shoes?

I recently bought a great pair of flats for work, but the leather insides make my feet all sweaty. Since these shoes are work shoes (in an office), I guarantee I’ll be wearing them all day every day. Is there something I can slip on the sole to avoid these shoes being sweaty and eventually smelling bad?

Unlikely. Leather isn’t the most breathable material. I have experienced the same with my leather ballet flats. When I wear leather heels or flats for a long period of time, I find myself taking them off throughout the day or night. Like if I’m sitting at my desk, I’d just slip them off.
Not an insert as that it is a sole, but you can buy a spray that “delivers instant deodorising effect and long lasting freshness. Instantly refreshes. It limits the growth of bacteria that cause foot odour for up to 24 hours.” link
How about a big stacks of cash?? Some people call them “lifts”,I call them happy feet ;)
or just go to the drugstore and get some inserts. There is a variety to choose from and I’m sure you will find the perfect ones for you .
Dr. Scholl’s products have inserts designed for controlling odor. They can be purchased at many grocery stores and just about all major drug store chains in the U.S.
You might also want to invest in one or more pairs of the same shoes, if you can afford it. That way, it gives each pair a chance to air out between wearings.
An inexpensive, replaceable odor control insert would be best. You have to refresh it regularly, depending on how long/often you wear the shoe. Daily wear would require every three months or so.
Thanks everybody—I’ve invested in a pair of the Dr. Scholls inserts as some of you suggested. We’ll see! : )
Thanks for letting us know, and keep us posted. There are other brands as well, like Odor-Eaters. I’ve never compared the two. If you are wearing the same shoes every day, they will probably need to be changed out more frequently than the instructions say, but trust me…you’ll know when they are ready for a change by either smell or feel. I still encourage you to invest in another pair of the same shoes if they are comfortable. It gives each pair a time to dry out.

I think you should buy another shoes for yourself. If shoes are smelly then replace them with new one.
