Can someone please explain to me what this means in Facebook Chat?

On my iPhone i have the official Facebook Application installed and I don’t seem to know what this symbol means! Can anyone help me?

It means you already have a conversation going on with that person, if you click it you can see the conversation.

@isuppose I noticed that the other day and that’s what I thought it meant but when I clicked on the person, there was nothing in the chat.
